Might work...

I was thinking about the best way to moderate what I eat. Generally I end up taking the lazy solution, and eating fast food, and obviously that's no good. In thinking about things, I re-affirmed that I'm not good with willpower. If option A is easier, or more pleasurable than option B, even though option B is better for me, something I've decided I want to do, or something I've decided is important to me, option A will win out 9 times out of 10.

In thinking about a way to force myself to eat better, I came up with (what I think is) a great idea. If I make it a pain in the butt to be lazy, I'm more likely to do the right thing. In this vein, my new diet plan is called "Spend No Cash." I'm going to take the smaller bills out of my wallet, and replace them with a couple of 50's. In case of emergency I'll have the cash if necessary, but it won't be easy to eat at McDonalds or Taco Bell because they don't take bills larger than a $20. If I'm anticipating going out with friends, I'll put some cash in to cover it, but when the laziness comes, the cash won't be there to spend. (I know lots of places take ATM cards, but that in itself is a pain in the butt, and would be enough of a deterrent)

What do you think? Will it work?
