Recovery

Here is the plant that the cat ate. You can't really see it in this pic, but in addition to the flower (it's a girl plant apparently) there are several little leaves growing out of the kitty chewed stumps.

Impressed

I'm impressed by this woman. She's obviously been dealt a crap hand, but she's got the integrity to take responsibility for herself and not ask for help or handouts where others would. This quote sums it up for me:

"It's my responsibility for me to take care of myself and show up for work every day and be kind to people.

"I know there are others who are poorer than me. I am poor but I am not going to lay down and act like I am dying. I am going to get back up and do something wonderful because I have a life and that's expected of me."

Damn.
